How We Can Work Together: A Step by Step Process |

My approach usually starts with assessment—of your skills, your goals, your beliefs, your passions, your personality. We do this in the first few sessions in a few ways: by me asking questions, providing work sheets and offering vocational testing, if we both agree that it would be helpful. The next step is uncovering how you see your potential in the world. This is accomplished through conducting strategic research into related fields that could utilize your skills. Then we develop a plan for you to meet your goals while satisfying your needs for purpose, money or whatever we find would help you feel fulfilled in your career. This can include developing your presentation of yourself—your Linkedin profile, resume, cover letter and any other marketing materials that would advance your search. I share job search tips and teach you networking techniques so that you are confidently explore all potential options. The process usually takes between 4 and 7 sessions, depending on your particular issues and concerns. I would be happy to have a phone conversation with you so we can discuss in detail how I can be of service. I usually meet with people once every two weeks, either in my office or by phone. Payment is due at time of session. Please bring cash, checks or visa/master card. We can discuss any other arrangements that might be helpful to you. Receipts are available upon request. Charges for sessions are the same for in-person, phone, Skype or email. Partial hour sessions can also be arranged, and are prorated at hourly rate. Please provide a 24 hour notice to cancel/ re-schedule any appts. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the cost of the session. Thank you. |
